A’Cholaisde Ghàidhlig / The Gaelic College is St. Ann's proudly offers programming in Gaelic language, culture and music for all ages. The College places particular importance on its role of educating the next generation of Gaelic singers and speakers.

On Friday, February 10th, 2012, a total of 57 Core Gaelic Students from Bayview Education Centre, Port Hood, St. Andrew’s Consolidated School, Antigonish and Sgoil Mhic Fhraing A’Chaolais (Rankin School of the Narrows), Iona, participated in a recording for A’Cholaisde Ghàidhlig / The Gaelic College. Each Core Gaelic group sang a Milling Song and had the other students join in on the chorus. Three songs were recorded at the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre in Judique, and will be used on a Compilation CD entitled “Blas Math." This CD will be released by in Spring, 2012.

What a wonderful opportunity for these children to go through the process of recording a CD while at the same time keeping the Gaelic culture alive. Congratulations to A’Cholaisde Ghàidhlig / The Gaelic College and the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre for undertaking such a worthy project. Tapadh leibh. Thank you!
