If not, there are plenty of things to do to keep the children occupied for the week so you won’t have to listen to choruses of “I’m bored!”

Taibhsean agus rudan os-nàdurra. 'S e cuspair a thogadh inntinn daoine 's dòcha cho fad 's a tha sinn air a bhith air an talamh. Chan eil mi cinnteach a bheil seann taigh, àite eachdraidheil no làrach cliùiteach air nach bi naidheachd no dhà orra.

Tha mi toilichte fhaicinn mar a bhios saoghal nan Gaidheal beag air bheag a' meudachadh a thaobh nan gnothach ris am bi sinn. Mar a théid sinn air adhart 'san fhicheadamh linn 's a h-aon, tha mi creidsinn gum bi cor na Gàidhlig gu math eisimeileach  air ciamar a ghabhas ( no nach gabhas ) sinn greim air na cothroman a bhios romhainn.

Saturday morning marks a new season and Fall is definitely in the air! I was in Baddeck yesterday and Port Hawkesbury two days before that and the trees are starting to show off their brilliant hues. But don't worry, there is still a lot to do here on Cape Breton Island.

My Father used to use the term, “A Pig In a Poke” to warn me to always carefully examine something before I bought it to be sure of its value. An example would be taking a used car for a test drive before buying it. Sage advice from my Dad.

How then, does this explain people lining up to pay $20 to attend an entertainment event where they don’t even know who is going to perform that night? This has been happening for 15 years at the Festival Club of the Celtic Colours International Festival.

O chionn ghreis chuir mi seachad dà latha ri teagasg òrain Ghàidhlig do chloinn aig An Roinn Cheilteach de 'n Sgoil Dhannsaidh aig Ceallaigh Nic Artair ann an Cnoc an Iar, Ceap Breatainn. 'S e dannsairean a bh' anns a' mhór-chuid dhe na sgoilearan agus bha 'ad air an togail le bhith dannsadh do sheinn seach inneal ciùil.  Rinneadh co-cheangladh glan eadar cànan 'is ceòl 'is dannsa, agus a' chlann 'gan ionnsachadh uile.

My Celtic heart is beating with pride today as Destination Canada, an organization whose goal it is to increase awareness of Canada in the Nordic Countries, recently released its list of the top 10 attraction sites in Canada. Cape Breton’s Cabot Trail was ranked fourth on the list and cited these reasons for the ranking:
