Do You Have the Gaelic?
Do you? I don't... but I know a few more words after traveling Cape Breton Island for two days this week visiting the best Celtic and Gaelic sites we have to offer.
A group of twelve of us representing the Celtic Heart partners traveled the Island for a Familiarization Tour. I was joined by some lovely folks from Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, Celtic Colours International Festival, Celtic Music Interpretive Centre, Glenora Inn and Distillery, Colaisde Na Gàidhlig / The Gaelic College, Highland Village and Féis An Eilein.
What a time we had! We step danced, played the fiddle, took part in a milling frolic, tasted the finest whisky I had ever had and, in true Cape Breton style, ate some of the best food there is on this island. I am exhausted! But so impressed with what Cape Breton has to offer our visitors at every turn.
I'll fill you in on our tour in upcoming blogs. For now I need to rest and sort through the hundreds of pictures we took. For now, here's one to hold you over. Can you guess at which Celtic Heart partner location this was taken?
