If one of your New Years resolutions is to finally learn Gaelic, then you are in luck!
Feis an Eilein will offer a ten-week program of Gaelic language classes at the Christmas Island Fire Hall beginning on Tuesday, January 8.
The beginner class will take place from 6:30pm-8:30 pm with instructor Beth MacNeil and will focus on learning to speak the language using the Gaidhlig aig Baile method.
The intermediate/advanced class will take place from 7:30pm-9:30pm with guest instructor Goiridh Domhnallach and will combine oral learning with reading and writing the language.
The fee is $50.00 for all 10 weeks. There is no charge for native Gaelic speakers or students. This program is delivered with funding assistance from the Office for Gaelic Affairs. For more information, please e-mail: [email protected].
