There is a living Celtic culture on Cape Breton Island where, as we say, “the Gaelic is strong”. And we’d love to share it with you.
The Gaelic language and culture has strong roots in Cape Breton that date back to the 18th century. As an island, this culture was preserved and continues to live on today. You can experience the life of the Gaelic settlers at Baile nan Gàidheal (Highland Village), learn a traditional Gaelic milling song and take part in a milling frolic, or even become a Gaelic speaker through one of our immersion programs.
